In His Own Words

My name is Dalton Whaley and I am a Life Scout in Troop 9, South Glens Falls, NY. I was also a cub scout in Pack 17 from Queensbury, NY. The next step in scouting after Life is becoming an Eagle Scout.

This is the highest rank in scouting and a very special honor. When I was looking for an Eagle Project, I was approached by one of my old cub scout leaders. He told me that the Masonic Lodge (who sponsor Pack 17) was in need of a new shed. The current one was old, weathered, and had been vandalized. I spoke with the Masonic Chief and planned/designed a new shed, which he approved of. I had to then plan to have fund raisers, get donations, and schedule when I could carry out the project.

The new shed was completed as of Dec. 2007.
